Our Trips

Year-round, we offer dedicated streamer fishing trips targeting trophy Brown and Rainbow Trout, Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, and Smallmouth Bass across our local fisheries. We focus on remote stretches of river, constantly moving to stay around the bait—and more importantly, the giants we’re chasing. I spent my life fishing these waters and have developed a deep understanding of the seasonal movements of the trophy fish that call them home, with multiple record-class catches to back it up.

Our Boats

Jet boats are essential tools in our pursuit of trophy fish, giving us access to remote, untouched stretches of river. We rotate between two boats depending on river flows and conditions, making sure we always have the right setup for the day. This mobility allows us to reach waters with minimal fishing pressure and follow fish throughout their seasonal migrations—keeping us in the action year-round.

Fishing with Jason provides an unforgettable streamer fly fishing experience. Jason is not only friendly and fun to be around, he is incredibly knowledgeable about his local waters. His expertise showed in every decision - whether it was reading the river, selecting the right streamer, or positioning the boat perfectly. His skill allows you to relax and just focus on presenting your fly.

I have flown from Michigan to Tennessee on numerous occasions to fish with FlyingSoHo and have landed multiple trophy-sized fish every time across big brown trout, rainbows, stripers, and hybrids. I can’t recommend Jason and this experience enough for those that love fly fishing and throwing streamers.

Target Species

Smallmouth Bass

Our trophy Smallmouth Bass are fierce, territorial predators that thrive in rocky runs, ledges, and swift current seams, where they ambush crayfish and baitfish. Renowned for their acrobatic fights and relentless power, these bronzebacks demand accurate casts and realistic presentations, especially during warmer months when they are most active.

Hybrid Striped Bass

Hybrid Striped Bass are aggressive, hard-fighting fish that combine the strength of striped bass with the adaptability of white bass, often schooling and feeding voraciously in current breaks and eddies. These hybrids are opportunistic feeders, striking large baitfish imitations with force, especially during periods of active water generation or seasonal baitfish movements.

Striped Bass

Trophy striped bass in our rivers are powerful, migratory predators that roam vast stretches of water in search of baitfish, often congregating below dams and in deep current seams. Known for their explosive strikes and relentless fights, these fish demand heavy gear and precise timing, particularly during spring and fall runs.

Brown Trout

Our trophy Brown Trout are the kings of the river. They are commonly solitary, territorial fish known for their nocturnal feeding habits and preference for structures like submerged logs, boulders, and undercut banks. These apex predators are cunning and elusive, often striking large prey patterns with explosive aggression, especially during low light or high water conditions. It is not uncommon to see Browns closing in on 30” in our waters.

Rainbow Trout

Our fisheries support some truly giant rainbow trout. They are elusive, highly selective predators that often inhabit deep pools, undercut banks, and areas with complex current seams. Their size and wariness demand stealth, precise presentations, and often unconventional tactics to entice a strike - our streamer presentations fit the bill. It is not uncommon to see Rainbows closing in on 30” in our waters.
